Students' Comments:

“Life here at SHMS has been a wonderful experience living in a multicultural environment and interacting with people of different cultures and nationalities ...
I have found SHMS to be an advanced educational institute where they manage to combine living and learning successfully under one roof.”

Things are going really well here. I've made lots of new friends, and the school is very beautiful. My room
is good, but the bathroom is small. Other than that everything is perfect.

“Life at SHMS is great because you share your experience with people from more than 60 different countries … the leisure facilities are very good,- skiing, tennis, volleyball and fitness are only a few of the many activities in the school … the ambience is nice and the people are great.”

Marco Kuchemann
Brazil

The school is very pretty, but I don't think that I would have time to enjoy the life here.
We have a lot of work to do for MA students, so busy everyday.
We have to write 20,000 words for our dissertation, which is about 70 pages. … … … … … ….
You probably won't see me back to Vancouver ALIVE! Anyway, got to go now.
I will keep in touch with you

“The hotel management course has been structured to provide students with all the necessary theoretical
and practical aspects to succeed in the industry. SHMS has experienced lecturers from the industry to impart knowledge to us.”

“ I’ve learnt to speak French fluently at SHMS and I’ve had the great opportunity to work in Switzerland
during my internship periods. I worked a lot, learnt a lot and got some good experience at the hotels
where I worked.”

Student’s comment before departure

My name is Jisoo Chang and I graduated from a private college called IHMC. During the program with IHMC,
I met Zenbia through our school coordinator and on our very first meeting she showed a kind courtesy
by coming all the way from Vancouver downtown to Richmond where I was doing practicum with IHMC.
Every meeting we had, her guidance and supports made every single steps of getting
to SHMS very simple and easy.
Outside the meeting, she maintains a close communication through e-mail. For me, chating with the Canadian Admission Office of the school is very comfortable just as with a friend.
Her outgoing and cheerful personality made me more confident towards chasing my further study at SHMS.

Student’s email when arrived SHMS

The school is quite fun and I went to Grotto every single day and I love the dance stage, I kind of live there. … … …

… … I got a really nice room mate. His name is Iwan and he's from Indonesia.
I will send you pictures of the school and my school life soon. Betty and I had a lot of fun
at Grotto and took pictures too.

It would be a great idea to talk to you on msn. Let me have your msn address.

Teachers are nice. Students say that most instructors are very strict on rules and grades
but they seem to be good people.

… … …

See u
